I, too, started with the Blu brand ecig. They have far more aggressive marketing, and I didn't even know about Volcano until after I ordered. I saw the Volcano atomizers were considered superior (and fit the Blu battery and cartridges) on several forums.
I read that Blu had been improving their attys and I hoped most of the bad things I read about them would be from an earlier version. I still had to take apart and re-pack the Blu carts to smoke even half of the juice.
I wanted to try a new flavor, since most of what Blu offers is nasty.
I bought only one atty and one box of carts from Volcano. Both are far superior to Blu. I will be replacing all my Blu stuff piecemeal from Volcano.
The Volcano atty is a few millimeters longer, and produces more & better tasting vapor from either brand of cart. even though my Blus are broken in. (Posted on 9/2/10)
So.. I ordered a Blu cig kit after a bit of debating between it and the Joye 510. I ultimately went with Blu but, after I ordered I stumbled across a forum that mentioned volcano ecigs fit with Blu AND offered blank carts which... Blu doesn't offer. That's what brought me to Volcano, I then found out about the attys and decided to order a few because I've seen more than a few reviews and forums mentioning that they were far suprior to Blu's atomizers.
I got them in the mail today, I'll be honest. The first atty I tried was DOA.. I suppose I could look at it as an opportunity to test the great customer service I've heard about.
I grabbed another one and put it on, it worked BEAUTIFLY! With the Blu I'd have to drag and drag on it until I was blue in the face (pardon the pun) to get the same amount of vapor I get with half or less the effort of using the Volcano Atty. Definately worth it! (Posted on 8/30/10)

Still using the original atomizers that came with the starter pack one month later.
That says it all my friends. (Posted on 8/7/10)
I have tried several atomizers from about a dozen manufacturers and this one is the best so far. I am always an extreme skeptic when it comes to new atomizers so always order a pass through and atomizer to start if I can get away with it. I will be adapting these to my sisters Smoke Free and slowly changing out from Blu myself.
These atomizers work very well. They clean up relatively easy (I always cake one just to check). Vapor production is pretty good even with a pass through.
Only downside with good atomizers is they WILL roast batting in the cartridge and keep going so keep your juice levels good and you'll be vaping happy. (Posted on 8/6/10)
I ordered two of these as replacements for the one's that came in my Blu kit.
Two main differences you can see just by a quick visual are the Volcano atty has a higher bridge and there is a slight ridge to hold your cartridge on better.
Draw seem's to be a lot better with the Volcano atty.

Started with two other e-cigs and ended up with the Volcano on a recommendation. It was my final chance at vaping before going back to analogs.
I'm glad I did.
The first thing I noticed was the high bridge on the atomizer. I'd been told that the Volcano was pretty much a Blu that had been repackaged.
Well, yes and no. As has been already noted, the main difference is the atomizer.
Love it. Clouds of vape, even from PG. I was smart and bought three about a month ago, and I love the fact that the forums have instructions regarding every component of the Volcano products.
I've learned a lot about PV's (Personal Vaporizers) since I started on this short, expensive journey, and the one thing I've found to be consistent is the Volcano atomizer.
It really is the secret of their success. I'll bet I could slap one of these atty's on any 501 battery mod I felt like and vape like a king.
Stay tuned...I'm thinking the Volcano atty's gonna be the heart of any mod I attempt in the future...becuase I haven't found better. (Posted on 6/20/10)
I have been using Volcano's e-cig for about 6 months now and have gone through 5 atomizers. Based on the quality of the product and the cost, I can say Volcano's attys are the best deal I have found. Just remember that it takes a little bit of smoking to break in a new atty, but once you do, you will start getting those throaty hits you want. I have been very impressed with all of Volcano's products so far. (Posted on 6/15/10)
