Retail Assistant Store Manager

Job Description:

The Assistant Store Manager position assists Store Managers and fill in for them when they’re absent. Your work will be critical in ensuring the team meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal Assistant Store Manager will be a leader with a strong business mindset. You should be apt in organizing and solving problems, dealing with interpersonal issues with mediation skills and acting as a point of contact between manager, employees, and customers. The Assistant Store Managers goal is to secure the effective operation of our business and the satisfaction of our customers. As an Assistant Store manager you will be responsible for achieving company objectives in profit and loss control, sales performance and customer satisfaction by supporting the Store Manager and overseeing the specific operational aspects within the store.

Primary Responsibility:

• Assist the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategies • Coordinate operations • Supervise and motivate staff • Communicate with customers and evaluate their needs and specifications • Create reports, analyze and interpret data • Ensure adherence to company’s policies and guidelines • Uphold Volcano E-Cigs standards for merchandise presentation, customer service and sales • Lead consistent evaluation and development of in-store talent • Issue appropriate counseling and disciplinary action to associates who fail to meet our performance standards • Drive results through compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures • Other tasks/responsibilities as business needs dictate

Skills Required:

• Proven experience as assistant manager or similar position • Familiar with financial and customer service principles and practices • Proficient user of MS Office • Leadership and organizational abilities • Analytical mind with good math skills • Interpersonal and communication skills • Problem-solving • World-class customer service skill and interpersonal/communication skills • Ability to developing talent • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills • Attention to detail • Flexible availability – including nights, weekend, and holidays • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork • AA in business administration or relevant field preferred
