BCT Tank Leak

Postby LAJiminPDX » Thu Jan 02, 2014 8:39 am

Is anyone else experiencing leaking from the two external holes with the new tank?

I have been using the new tank for a week and half and this morning woke up to it in a puddle of juice. The only thing I can figure is I screwed it on too tight to the battery as that was the last thing I did before turning in. Would it leak if tightened too much?

From the screw down side of the tank to the battery, there seems to be a point where the device won't work if too tight. And no, I am not attempting to fuse the things together, just a good connection. Safety feature maybe(?).

Outside a little bit of flooding to begin with, this new tank is very cool.

Oh shucks, I'm getting worried now....here's what went wrong with my 2nd BCT.
The peice that connects to the batt. was all wrong, the threads did'nt match up.
Also, some juice leaked out.
I trashed my envelope, duh, but I've got my packing slip, I'm calling CS next week Mon. (1st week after holidays.)
Later, GG
