Chat Noise Issue

Postby BMBteke397 » Wed Apr 04, 2012 9:55 am

When opening a cam with a mic on in chat, it starts to generate an interference noise. This will persist even after you mute or close the cams and requires me to reload chat. Several other people in chat regularly have experienced this.

YUP. In fact, everytime I open a cam, if the mic is on it makes that noise. Sometimes it doesn't do it till I turn it down, but depending on how loud our hosts mic is tonight, this could be a problem. (And if you mute it, you still hear a garbled sound coming from them) This has been going on for the past few days.

when I was in chat this weekend, I noticed that!

I said something about it while in chat, but I figured it was just my computer doing something dumb.

So far I only had that happen once, with Firefox running on Ubuntu, this past chat. Never had it before so i was chalking it up to the OS/Browser combo, but now not so sure.

we are waiting on the techs form the chat company to get back to us and help figure it out. the noise can be gotten rid of but you have to turn off your mic volume in the flash setting of the chat. even if you dont have a mic or your mic plugged in.

... I dont know how that works but it does. Just turning off your mic in chat does not help, you have to do it in the flash setting of chat.

We hope the techs get with us soon and help fix it. We are also looking at updating the chat to a newer version with some nice new surprises, I am not able to tell you about right now.
