Clearomizer Cleaning and Filling

Postby chobbs » Thu Oct 18, 2012 7:33 pm

Cleaned three clearo's tonight for the first time. I used Shado's method and it worked flawlessly! They are like new again! Love that I don't have throw these things away when they start going downhill unlike the TT carto's.

Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video. This looks a lot more efficient than the method I used, but FYI for anyone that doesn't have a device to pump water through their clearomizer, I used a different method that worked very well.

I was down to my last functional clearomizer, and quite frankly, it tasted burnt and crappy since I used it for so long (probably nearly 2 months).

To remedy, I used a small flathead screwdriver to remove the rubber piece from the cartridge, then stuck it under a warm faucet to fill it up, shook it, emptied, then repeated until the unit was totally clean. After maybe 10 or so times, the unit was clear, and I replaced the rubber stopper, filled the clearomizer, dried the outside off thoroughly, placed it back into my Inferno battery, and it worked like a charm. Perfect flavor until the very last vape.

I clean them every few days to a week. I only replace them when they stop working, as in the coil breaks. Other than that just clean them.

Do I need to prime the NEW clearomizers? Every one I have tastes burnt, and hits harsh in my throat right out of the package. Never seemed to have this problem until they came out with the new clearo's. thanks

yes you should prime the coil.

The new clearos are also lower ohms so they burn a little hotter.

Many people have also noted the inner seal is pushed in a big and is pinching off the wick so they don't wick well. So you might also need to pull that inner most seal up a little to make sure it wicks right.
