Newbie - slight burning / cough

Postby vaguexrdx » Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:18 am

I just bought my Inferno yesterday I like it a lot. I havn't had the desire to smoke or chew tobacco since. But I am having a slight issue. I want to say its because im brand new to vaping but when I take a hit it feels like a burning sensation in my throat / lungs. After I usually cough too but not always. I guess the best refrence would be it seems like when I first started smoking real cigs Its hard to explain but its not comfortable.

any help ? I am using the marlboro red liquid drops full strength if that helps at all.

There could be a few possibilities....

- vaping is a different sensation than smoking and the body is not used to it
- you may have an issue with an ingrediant in your juice...PG, VG. flavoring
- your device may not be completely set up properly....ie...not enough juice and you are getting a dry hit
- vaping has a natural tendency to dry you out.....increase your water intake while vaping

start by taking smaller toots.....this may help you to narrow down the issue and then be able to correct it
- Dave - ...LAL...;)

PG is Propylene glycol and VG is Vegetable glycerin. Here is a link to a site that explains to you there purpose in e-liquid:

You may also want to kick down your Nic level, i have noticed that the Throat hit is increased with higher Nic levels, also most people that start vaping will notice that they cough, this is because you are inhaling vapor not smoke into your lungs and you should get used to it fairly quickly
