D-I

Dipping-
Dipping is a method of getting the juice from a container to the bridge of the atomizer. This method only works with the Volcano atty, because of its exposed atty bridge. To dip, you will need to have e-liquid in a small container with a wide mouth on it (many prefer a contact lens case [screw on lids only no snap closed lids]) Dip the bridge of the atomizer into the e liquid, hold it there for a few seconds to allow it to wick up some of the juice, But an empty outer shell of a mouth piece on the atomizer recap the juice, and vape. You should get around 7-10 hits from the ecig before needing to re dip.

Disposable-
A disposable is a one piece ecig. It does not come apart at all, once the e-liquid and battery is drained it is meant to be thrown away or recycled. You can not recharge them or refill them. They are a great way to try out ecig and see if thety are something you would be interested. Also a great gift to give to friends and family to help them get more interested in making the switch.

DIY-
Do It Yourself, refers to mixing your own e-liquids. Using nicotine, PG, VG, and Flavorings.
***Warning please do your research before attempting to mix your own. There are many things you need to know before doing this. If you don’t know read up on it, if you still have questions ask, there are plenty of people that are more than willing to help and have the knowledge to help keep you safe. No one wants you to get sick or hurt yourself mixing.***

Draw-
The term Draw means, the act of inhaling on the mouth piece of the ecig. Activating the ecig and inhaling the vapor.
-also known as- pull, toot, drag, puff

Dripping-

Dripping is the act of using a drip tip on an atomizer, and dripping 3-4 drops of e-liquid down the center of the Drip Tip into the atomizer. That gives you about 7-10 draws before you need to re drip ( if you notice a drop in vapor production or loss of flavor it is time to re drip.)

Drip Tip-
A specially designed mouth piece that replaces the cartridge, that goes on the atomizer and allows you to drip your e-liquid directly into your atomizer.
-Also know as- DT

Electronic cigarette-
A device that consists of a an rechargeable battery, an heating element (atomizer) and a mouth piece (cartridge), which contains e-liquid. It is activated by either drawing on the battery (for automatics) or pushing a button (for manuals). The battery supplies power to the heating coil (atomizer). The Atomizer also pulls e-liquid from the cartridge down inside the atomizer to the coil where it is atomizer and turned into vapor. Then inhaled by through the mouth piece by the user.
-also known as- ecig, e cig, or by model name.

E-liquid-
A solution of Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Flavorings, and nicotine in various levels of nicotine(Zero or 0mg does not contain any nicotine). The E-liquid can be found in the pre-filled cartridges, or in bottles. Which can be used to refill your carts or drip. Comes in various flavors and nicotine levels. Volcano’s e-liquid is a mix of 80% PG and 20 %VG, along with the flavorings and nicotine. ( unless you get 0mg then there is none)
-Also known as- juice. or e-juice.

FDA-
The Food and Drug Administration. Ummm lets just leave it at that. If you want to know more look up the terms “FDA” , “Bans”, and “e cigs”.

Filler-
Filler is the fibers in the cartridge that holds the suspended e-liquid in place. The filler can be either Poly fill, Blue Foam, or Pyramid Tea Bag (PTB)

Flooding-
Flooding occurs when the ceramic bowl surrounding the coil of the atomizer* is filled with too much juice, either from a cartridge/tank/wick/or dripped. A flooded atomizer is identified by the following, but not limited to; A gurgling sound; low vapor production; juice in the mouth; a popping sound, followed my low vapor production; juice leaking out the threaded connection. A flooded atomizer can be fixed by immediately removing it from the battery and clean out the threaded end of the battery. Then remove the cartridge/DT/tank form the atomizer. Then place the atomizer in a paper towel and wipe off the threads and then blow into the threaded end of the atomizer to push out all the extra juice in the atomizer. Wipe off any moisture off the threaded and reassemble the ecig.

Flooding can also occur to auto batteries. This can happen when the atomizer* is flooded and the juice leaks down through the threaded connection, into the battery casing. Normally this can be fixed by standing the battery on its threaded end on a paper towel over night or until no more juice comes out, or placed in a bag of rice for 24-48 hours. A flooded battery that beings to fire on its own blink non-stop, or does not fire or fires only with a hard draw, is most likely unfixable. It is best to not allow the battery to fire once it is known to have juice in it until the juice is removed.

* Please see atomizer for full description.

Inferno-
The inferno is Volcano’s big battery mod. There are two models of the Inferno both are manual batteries. Both Inferno batteries are 510 threaded.
*One being the USB Inferno, which can also be used as a Pass Through. It is a 3.7v, 650mah battery, charge life is 6-8 hours when not plugged in as a pass through, Charge time 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours.
*The other one is the Inferno Super Battery. It is a 3.7v, 1000mah battery, charge life is 19-20 hours, and charge time is 2-3 hours

Magma-
Volcano’s 510 model. The battery is a 3.7v, 180mah battery charge life is 30-40 minutes, and the charge time is about 30-35. Comes in both manual and automatic versions.

Manual Battery-
A type of battery that is activated by pressing a button on the side of the ecig, to supply power to the atomizer.
-also known as- manual batt, man. batt, manual

Mega Magma Battery-
Volcano’s larger version of the Magma. Just like the Magma comes in both manual and automatic. The battery is a 3.7v, 280mah battery, charge life is 60-70mins, charge time is 45-50 minutes.

Mod-
Mod or modification, can either mean doing something to a current device to change it to be better or fit your needs better, or as a homemade or sometimes bought large battery devices. They do not normally resemble a standard cigarette or e cig. Most mods main purpose is to extend use between charges, some mods also allow to change the voltage of the device.

Newbie-
A person that is new to vaping. May not know much about vaping and is in search of a lot of answers. Newbies are always welcome and all their questions will be answered in a very speedy manner, and no question is never a dumb or stupid question. If you want to know it ask it and we will answer it for you.
-also known as- noob, noobie

O ring-
A small rubber ring, used to help make a tight seal between to objects. You can find o-rings on 510 drip tips to help make a solid connection between the Drip tip and the atomizer. As well as on the body of the Inferno batteries, just below the threaded connection, and above the button. The o-ring on the Inferno is there to keep the cone attached. If you are using the Inferno with the Tankomizer, you may want to remove the o-ring to improve the air flow and loosen up the draw.

Pass Through-
A device that replaces the battery in your electronic cigarette. the Pass Through plugs into a standard 5v USB post. The atomizer screws into the Pass Through, and there is a button that when pressed supplies power to the atomizer, allowing it to vaporize your e-liquid.
-Also known as- PT

Personal Charging Case-
A portable storage device to hold spare carts and batteries, as well as charge your batteries while on the go.
-Also Known as, PCC, M-Pack, or V-pack
***PCC’s are device specific M-Packs are only for the Magma batteries, V-Packs are only for Volcano batteries***

Pee Pee Dance-
What all vapers do while awaiting the release of a new product, the return of an out of stock item, or just any time they order something and have to wait more than 3 seconds for it to get to their doorstep.

PEG-
Polyethylene Glycol, the original solvent used in e-liquids. This has been mostly abandoned due to trace amounts of diethylene glycol, a toxic component found in antifreeze. But has made a small resurface lately due to the climbing prices on PG and VG. Make sure to do your research before you buy. Volcano’s e-liquid does not contain PEG at all.

Propylene Glycol-
A common food additive and solvent used in food products and a main ingredient in most e-liquids. While thinner than VG (see below), minor allergy symptoms and oral dryness occurs for some users. PG in juices carry the flavors better, and give a better Throat Hit. But produces less clouds compared to VG.
-also known as- PG

Pure Grain Alcohol-
Used by some for cleaning atomizers (not recommended by Volcano), and also used by some in mixing e-liquid to add more throat hit. (please research this before doing it, make sure you know what you are doing)

Poly fill-
The industry standard filler to hold in the e-liquid in the cartridges.

PTB-
Pyramid Tea Bag, a alternative cart filler some people use to replace the standard poly fill.

PV-
Personal Vaporizer, another term used for electronic cigarettes.

R-W

Refill kit-
A kit sold by Volcano that contains one 1ml syringe, and 5 plastic safety needles. The refil kit is used to refill the cartomizers, clearomizers and tanks.

Resistance-
Is a measurement of power needed to power the atomizer. The lower the resistance the hotter the coil can get creating a hotter vape and vaporizing more e-liquid per draw. The hotter vape can increase the Throat Hit and vapor cloud production. The higher the resistance the cooler the atomizer burns and the more flavor can come through. Low resistance(LR) atomizers should not be used on any battery lower than 480mah, or on higher voltage devices than 3.7v. LR atomizer are designed to emulate high voltage vaping at a lower voltage. High Resistance(HR) atomizers are designed for use on high voltage devices, they are designed to last longer on the higher voltage.

Rubbing Alcohol-
Used to clean the threaded connections between the battery and atomizer. Not to be used to clean the actual atomizer. To clean the connections dampen a Q-tip with the rubbing alcohol, squeeze as much off as possible( you do not want it dripping wet). Then rub the connections with the Q-tip, to remove any tarnish or build up on the connections. The build up can cut performance by blocking some of the power from the battery, it can also prevent the battery from charging properly, or making it take longer to reach a full charge.

Spike-
In the new Tankomizer the bridge of the atomizer has been replaced with a metal spike packed with the wicking material. The spike enters the bottom of the Tank and wicks the juice form the Tank down through the spike along the wick and on to the coil where it is heated and turned into vapor.

Starter kit-

Are kits designed to provide someone that is not sure what to get, a kit that contains everything they will need to get up and running with vaping.

Tanks-
A new kind or cartridge designed for use only with the Tankomizer. It is a cartridge that has no filler and releases the e-liquid into the atomizer (tankomizer) by means of vacuum pressure. These are refillable, but are also consider disposable.
-Also known as- Tank carts
Hold: 1.1ml

Tankomizers-

A new kind of atomizer. Designed for use with the Inferno battery and Tanks. It is a new design, were the atomizer and cone is built into one, it does not have a bridge as most atomizers do, instead it has a spike that punctures the Tank and supplies the juice from the Tank to the coil of the Tankomizer.
*Tankomizers are considered an atomizer and fall under all the terms and conditions of atomizers*
-Also known as Tankos

Throat Hit-
The feeling you get as the vapor passes the back of your throat. The throat hit (TH) is stronger in higher nicotine e-liquid. The TH can also be increased by using a low resistance atomizer. Higher VG levels in your juice can lower the TH.

USB cap-
A screw on cover to cover the USB plug end of your USB Inferno battery.

USB charger-
A device that you screw your battery into and then plug the device in to a standard USB port to recharge your batteries. The USB chargers are model specific. The Volcano one can only be used on the Volcano, The Magma USB charger can only be used on Magma batteries, and the Inferno USB charger can only be used on the Inferno.
-Also known as- USB Doggle, USB Stuck Charger.

USB mini cable-
A cable that on one end is a standard USB plug and the other is a mini USB plug. The cable is used to charge the PCC, and/or the USB Inferno Battery.

Vape-

The act vaping

Vaper-
A person who vapes.

Vaping-
What you might be doing right now. The act of using an electronic cigarette.

Vapor-
The cloud of mist that is created when the e-liquid is heated in the atomizer, and exhaled.

Vegetable Glycerin-
A thicker, richer substitute to propylene glycol (PG). While used in unison with PG in most liquids, 100% VG juices are available in most online stores for those who have adverse reactions to PG. (Note: VG is more prone to clog atomizers by leaving behind a gunky residue.) VG produces more vapor clouds, but can mask some flavors that are more subtle.

Volcanite-
One who is loyal to Volcano, and not just the company but the community. One who will stand up and fight to defend the honor of the company against anyone talking smack about the company.

Volcano-
Volcano’s very first model(L88b), the smallest of the Volcano line, and the most underrated and underappreciated model. It is a great little work horse if you give it a chance. Its only down fall is the short battery charge life, and small cartridge capacity. The Volcano is a 3.7v, 90mah battery, with a charge life of 20-30minutes, and a charge time of 15-20 minutes.

Volcano Electronic Cigarette Company-

The best e cig company around, backed by the best Customer Service around, and a great community and forum.

Wall adaptor-
An adapter that plugs into a standard household wall outlet, and converts the AC power form the wall outlet to 5v DC and supplies that power to a standard 5v USB on the wall adapter.
-Also known as- wall wart

Wick-
A small bundle of threads that carry the e-liquid from the cartridge down the bridge of the atomizer to the coil where it is heated and turned into vapor.

Wicking-
The movement of e-liquid from the cartridge through the bridge(or Spike) and down the wick of the atomizer, to the coil where the e-liquid is heated and turned into vapor.
