main reasons to change are
1 burnt taste
2 feels clogged, hard to draw on
3 loss of flavor or vapor
4 juice in your tank starts turning darker after sitting for a while

There are other reason as well, but those are the most common.

There is no set time frame, as it depends on what flavor you vape, how you vape, how much you vape, and what voltage/wattage you are vaping at, along with a few other factors. Me I vape RY4 mostly at 8mg, at around 5v or 8.5w on the lavatube with a 3ohm carto. I vape around 19mls of juice a day. I get about 4-5 days out of a carto before I need to replace it. But I vape much more than others do. On average most people canget anywhere from a week to a month out of a carto.

Sweeter and darker juices tend to clog them up faster.

Yeah I hit mine pretty often and I need to change it about every 5-7 days too. Sometimes 4-5 days like you. But there are times I do it a lot if I'm at the computer a lot.
