With Your Help We Were Able to Donate Over $9,000 to Pu’uhonua O Puna

In the month of August we asked for your help in our assistance with helping those displaced by the ongoing volcanic activity in Puna on the Big Island of Hawaii. You, our amazing customers truly delivered, and we just wanted say mahalo to all of you. With your purchases of our VOLCANO 60ML vape juices, we were able to donate over $9,000 to the Pu’uhonua O Puna charity organization who have been assisting the residents of Puna since day one.

Last Friday, September 7, our team boarded a plane and flew over to Big Island to happily present the Pu’uhonua O Puna crew members with our donation. We were able to have a meet and greet with the leaders of Pu’uhonua, including Ikaika Marzo, the affable Lower Puna resident who first began posting updates and videos on the lava flow on his personal Facebook page and soon thereafter founded Pu’uhonua realizing the needs of his fellow neighbors.

A true community-driven organization, Pu’uhonua O Puna offers displaced residents clothing, toiletries, showers, necessities and three hot meals a day. Everything is donated or purchased through donations and all is free and available for those in need. After our short meet and greet at our Hilo retail store, our team was able to volunteer some assistance at “The Hub”, the center of Pu’uhonua O Puna’s relief efforts while also being able to meet and personally thank all of the volunteers who take the time out of their day every day to help Puna’s residents.

But we couldn’t have done it without you, our loyal customers. Mahalo again for all of your support as together we were able to donate over $9,000 to Pu’uhonua O Puna to assist in their daily relief efforts for the residents of Puna.
